The Sunday, September 1, 2013, edition of the New York Times had an article in the Travel section about the urban winery scene here in Portland, OR. It was a hell of an article that told the country (world?) what we’re getting up to out here. They made mention of the SE Wine Collective (where I work), ENSO Winery, Cyrils’ Clay Pigeon, and Sauvage. All friends and colleagues. I’m excited to be surrounded by such talent and courage, and am a bit astounded at my good fortune.
Check out the article! Of course my unreleased wine isn’t mentioned, but I made it into one of the pictures. And again, it’s huge for what we are doing out here, and I’m excited for all my friends who were mentioned.
